Summer 09

Been a while since the last update, but Sydney is having an awesome summer this year so I've been out and about as much as possible trying to make the most of this awesome weather. The last week I got to see one of my favourite bands "bullet for my valentine" play at the university of New South Wales roundhouse and also at the "big day out" which is probably Australia's largest Music festival. To see them twice in one week was amazing so that has been a highlight of the summer for sure.

Also recently I had my first ever shootfor Motor Magazine. Motor is one of the top Auto magazines in Australia so I was very excited to receive a call to shoot the new 2009 Holden Astra VXR Nurburgring edition. Unfortunately the shoot had it's fair share of Drama's, My camera's tripod mount thread ripped straight from the camera leaving a bit of a dilemma. With the brief calling for plenty of Rig shots I was left to delay the shoot for a couple of days while I could source a replacement camera. Thanks to Kevin I had a 5d and 16-35 ready for action.

The second shoot went really well, I was very pleased with the overall images. The art director at Motor has also given me some handy hints on what they are after in a photoshoot in such a high profile magazine, they are very specific in what they want but with good reasoning. It was a great experience and hopefully I will get more opputunities to work with them. Check it out in the March 09 issue due out mid February.
